This is not the first time that I am reading any of the works of Zora Neale Hurston because earlier also I have gone through her short stories. However, this is my first time reading of “The Eatonville Anthology” by Hurston which is about those character profiles living in an African American community somewhere outside of Orlando. The found the sketches and anecdotes very fascinating which has made me read it twice. This anthology consists of 14 part short stories and the characters Joe Clarke and Elijah Moseley can be found in many of them. The Black culture in the American South was the main focus of Hurston in this collection.
