There are total five stages of deployment which are predeployment, deployment, sustainment, redeployment and postdeployment. Each of these stages has its own physical and mental impacts on the military. Not only have the people who are going through the stages but their families also gone through them because each stage impacts them largely. They have to be prepared both physically and mentally to accept the stages and go through them smoothly.
