Photosynthesis is how plants or some organisms use light energy from sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide to create oxygen and energy in the form of sugar. The carbohydrates are made through this process. Anaerobic photosynthesis, also known as anoxygenic photosynthesis, is the process by which certain bacteria use light energy to create organic compounds but do not produce oxygen. Aerobic photosynthesis involves the reduction of carbon dioxide to carbohydrates and removing electrons from water resulting in the release of oxygen.
