Q Discussion Prompt & Reply Instructions Your Initial Post - Due Thursday by 11:59PM After reading Unit 2.5 in your textbook, reviewing the Exploring Your Interests through Holland Codes, and assessing Holland Codes Assessment with COS Career Coach Interests (60?) to find your own 3 letter code, you should have a better understanding of Holland's Codes. Prompt: 1. Share your discussion post in approximately 150-200 words (5-6 sentences). 2. Select one of the six Holland (RIASEC) Codes and provide an overview of the code and some careers that relate to this code. You'll find this information within this Module and the textbook readings. Of course, we have multiple interests and aren't defined by just one code, but in this discussion you are just highlighting one of the codes and it doesn't have to be one that you got from your assessment. 3. Now provide at least one example of a well known individual who you think may have a preference for the selected code(s) and then explain any connections with what you know about the individual, their career choice(s), and Holland Codes (RIASEC). o You would expand in paragraph form, but here's an example. ? If I selected Artistic, I would provide an overview of the Artistic code and sample careers, e.g. Musician, Designer, Artist, Designer ? I might choose Misty Copeland (professional ballerina) who appears to have similar interests and connections with this Artistic interest based on her career interests, for example, her roles as a Dancer, Actress/Performer, Model, Writer, Dancewear Designer, and the list goes on. 4. Remember to follow Online Discussion Posts and Netiquette. Reply to 2 Peer Posts - Due Sunday by 11:59PM 1.
