Q FINAL PAPER ASSIGNMENT This course will examine contemporary issues within criminal justice systems. The course material is divided into three categories, Gun Control, Prison Control, and Community Issues. Each category will have a sub category. You are to select one category along with its subcategory e.g.; Gun Control and Mandatory Sentencing, Community Issues and Gang Violence, Prison Violence and Mental Illness, Illegal Immigration, Police Reform, Juvenile Justice, Current State of Politics in America, Islamophobia, Prescription drug addiction, Racism in America, White nationalism as a topic for the final paper. Do not provide a general overview for the topic chosen/approved. Personalize it with a subtopic a by choosing a specific area of the topic you want to research. APA formatting guidelines are located in the pocket guide and Start Here Folder. The Pocket guide-E book is located under Content. You will not have to purchase it separately. Each week you will have assignments leading to the completion of the final paper. The final paper must be submitted in an APA format that will include the following components: Title page Abstract Introduction Body Conclusion/Recommendations References The paper is a minimum of (10) ten typed-double spaced pages with a maximum of (15) fifteen pages. By Week 8 you may complete a draft of the paper to be submitted in Smartthinking for review. By Week 13 you will submit the Final Paper. All Final Paper topics must be approved by the Professor.
