Q EVENT BID ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS OVERVIEW As if there are not enough college bowl games already, you are going to add one more! Your assignment is to make a plan for a new bowl game. INSTRUCTIONS Your assignment should include the following elements: • Title page with your name, course, and the name of the new bowl game and location • Abstract: a one paragraph summary of your project. • Site Selection (you may not choose a location/stadium that has more than one college bowl game already) o Key features of the community ? Describe the population, environment, climate etc. o Activities in the area ? Hospitality (# hotels rooms in the area) ? Entertainment & amusement options in the area o Stadium/Field ? Name and key features/amenities of the stadium ? Usable space for additional activities surrounding the event (fan zones, etc.) • Marketing & Finance o Develop two sponsorship plans/packages (for each include what price are you charging for sponsorship package and what value are you creating for the sponsors) ? Naming rights partnership (select an appropriate naming rights partner) ? Secondary corporate sponsorship level for non-naming rights corporate partners (no need to select sponsors) o Ticket pricing ? Describe the various levels of tickets • Organization o Date and time for the game (use the upcoming/current bowl season) o Schedule of events for teams (what organized events happen each day for the teams and fans? At least 5 days) • Reference page (in Current APA format) Be realistic and position your event accordingly, but have fun with this project! There is plenty of room for your own creativity. Format: The project must be submitted in 12-inch font, double-spaced with 1-inch margins. The title page, abstract, and reference list must be on their own separate pages and are not considered in the page count. The body of the paper should be 5-6 pages and must follow current APA guidelines. Sources in the Reference list should also be referred to in the body of the paper using current APA style. While you are encouraged to use as much reference material as possible to find your information, the entire written project must be your own work.
