Q Your employment project will consist of the following components: • A personal resume • An application letter or message (cover letter) • Thank-you letter (following an interview) • Company research The resume and application letter should be prepared with a specific job in mind—you will need to provide a copy of the job ad or job description along with the resume and application letter. Please note that the resume should be as factual as possible so that I can give you relevant feedback. Compose a thank you letter that you might send after the interview that you obtained through your resume and application letter. PLEASE NOTE: These first three items – resume, application letter, and thank-you letter – all pertain to the same position. The company research can be information obtained about any company in which you might be interested—not your own, please. Note: the company research doesn’t necessarily have to be about the company that is the focus of the other three parts of this project. The purpose of this company research is to point out that you have sources of information available, and you should be prepared to insert this information during a job interview. A listing of information to include is contained below.
