“The Unskilled and Unaware of it”, written by Justin Kruger and David Dunning, presents the research findings on the characteristics of people holding the overtly self- approving views of their ability in the social and intellectual domains (Kruger, and Dunning). The authors present the reason behind this exaggeration of self-approving views and they claim that people with the lesser skill sometimes overrate their capability and this leads to falter at the end and make some incorrect choices (Kruger, and Dunning). They stress on the metacognitive ability to judge one to be better skilled in any of the domain.
