Q Please select one person (usually the team lead) to submit a copy of your Internal Analysis Template before the due date. SUGGESTION: Don't assume your team lead will or has submitted your assignment on time. Team members should check with the person assigned with the responsibility for submitting the document until you are sure it has been submitted successfully. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MOMENT. It may result in a Zero for the entire group. Q Assignment Overview: Answer the following prompts in the template on the assigned company using resources from class discussions, research sources provided in CANVAS, and research conducted on your own (such as using the recent Annual Report / 10Ks from the company’s website). You may use other internet or library sources, but they should be reputable and objective business news or industry-specific outlets – NOT PODCASTS or POLITICAL OPINION SITES. Once the research is completed, you should summarize your answers in the five sections provided below. The research section will be checked for completeness and relevance, but the five summaries will receive most of your points towards your grade. Mechanics: You should submit your assignment via CANVAS on or before the due date/time. You MUST cite sources of information in APA format (include a reference page at the end of your submission). You should number your citations in the text of the paragraphs (these are called ‘endnotes’ in MSWord). The references at the end of the document should be listed numerically, not alphabetically. If the information is not your own assumption or insight it will need a citation. Be sure to put information in your own words to avoid plagiarism. In other words, information taken from sources should never be verbatim unless it is in quotes and effective business writing keeps quotes to a minimum. Give yourself enough time to submit and make changes prior to the deadline. This is a team assignment. Feel free to divide the work between team members as you see fit, but a designated person or a subset of the group should be responsible for a final read through that checks for consistency and grammar. We will also be grading your writing skills including spelling, grammar, syntax, and flow. Feel free to use Grammarly or some other software tool to assist you with your writing if you wish.
