I also grew up being told that if you had tattoos, you were either a gang member or that you would end up on the streets or in jail. That piercings were for girls and not for men I also have tattoos and I choose to get them done where you couldn’t see them because I was afraid that if you could see it would affect how people would treat me and it could close opportunities for me later in my future. I’m 38 years old and I can say that society has changed a lot these things have become accepted in some cases its more of a fashion statement.
