Q Speech Critique "Persuasion" I know we've seen this speech before, but I want you to look at it from a different perspective. Earlier, we talked about ethos, pathos, and logos. What does this speaker do to evoke each one of those attributes? Do you think her use of evidence is effective or not? Why, or why not? Do you agree with her overall perspective? Why or why not? Her speech is organized in problem-cause-solution, so I want you to take particular notice of how she organizes her ideas as that is the format you will be using as well. I do believe her use of evidence is effective because she spoke about an issue that is serious which is allowing what age for teenagers to drive which is an example of logos because she uses reasoning and judgement to support her speech. She uses ethos in her speech by talking about all the evidence she gathered to support why she feels a certain way. Then she uses ethos by showing emotion and how she feels about teenagers driving by including the story of her nephew in the accident. I do agree with her overall perspective because I do have a younger sister who is a careless driver and I would want nothing more than for her to actually drive safely for once not just for her own good but also for others.
