Q • Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using the ADDIE 5 Step Training Process.
• Summarize how you would implement the ADDIE model in a training department.
The Addie model is used for the development process and it stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The model depends on effectively following each stage and implementing it thoroughly. Each set has its own prerequisite steps that needs to be followed well. The model provides a guideline which can be used for successfully completing a training program. The problem with this model is it is outdated and at times become repetitive. Also, if one missed one stage or even one step, the entire training and process fails. The advantage of using this model is – it is tried and tested by different organisations for different process training programs.
