Q Q1. Think of a number of high-profile cases where social media were used either effectively or ineffectively by organizations. What, in your opinion, were the key conditions that made it a success, or in fact less so?
There are many organizations that have started to use the social media (Enterprise 2.0) tools which are used internally to be able to interact with the employees. There are a number of companies including Best Buy and Dell which has seen to be succeeded in the overall use of social media and also be able to meet the objectives like increase in revenues, reduced costs, and stimulating innovation. If we observe the survey in the year 2010, which was conducted based on 1,060 global executives then it can be said that there are about 50% of the companies that adopted the use of social media within their organizations and about 60% of them were reported to show positive effects on their internal communications (Fr?czkiewicz-Wronka et al., 2012).
