Q Assignment Overview (Reminder) This assignment requires a series of parts/steps leading up to the delivery of your presentation, and you will complete only one part at a time. In Part 1 you will select a concept or theory from this class that helps you better understand the communication issues in a specific relationship and find a research study about the theory/concept you chose. In Part 2 you will insert the information you found into a research presentation outline, using an outline template provided by me. In Part 3 you will record your presentation and two of your peers will evaluate it- you will also evaluate two peers. In Part 4 you will submit your final 3-5 minute recorded presentation. As stated above, this assignment requires a series of steps, and you will complete only one step per week, leading up to the delivery of your presentation. Your current task is only the following step: Instructions for Research Presentation Part 3: Record Your Presentation 1. Record your presentation and upload it to YouTube using the same method you practiced in the course orientation. 2. Post the link to your recorded presentation in this discussion forum. 3. Respond to two classmates by copying and pasting the Research Presentation Peer Evaluation Rubric (below) and filling it out for each speaker you view. You can use software on your computer or phone to record and save a video. You will need to situate your phone in order to meet the guidelines above. o If you are using a computer you will need to look up how to record videos on your specific machine, since the instructions depend on your operating system. You can usually find info in your device manual or by searching online. Settings allowed viewing, link functioned, no issues. 2 points = Attempted to post but settings did not allow viewing, or link did not work. 0 points = Did not attempt to post a YouTube video of their presentation. Your Responses to a Classmate (worth 10 points each, total of 20): Respond to two classmate's presentations by copying and pasting the grading rubric below, assigning them points for each item and providing feedback where called for. This is an opportunity for you to help a classmate refine their presentation. 10 points = Work is exemplary. The student responded to a classmate with clear feedback for how to improve the presentation, using the complete grading rubric. 5 points = Work is approaching the requirements, but needs more attention. The student responded but only with agreement or praise, and no constructive feedback. 0 points = The student did not respond to a classmate.
