According to the text, paradox of progress is the condition when even though we have all the comforts of the world due to innumerable technological advances but actually we are not happy from inside. Instead we are depressed, anxious, worried. It seems that life of our ancestors with lesser technology or no technology was better in the sense that they were happy, satisfied and had a proper quality life. We have everything now but still there is a sense of hollow.
