I think that this is a clear case of Validity of Consideration. This is because in this case, it has to be understood and decided whether the consideration of Hamill Manufacturing making a contribution to the fund-raiser program had been made by Maitland or not. There must always be something which can be considered to be of legally-sufficient value so that the contract formed can be considered to be legal. Otherwise, the contract can be considered to be illegal if there is the absence of any legally-sufficient value in the contract. This value has to be something which might have convinced a party to the contract for giving a green signal and a positive intimation to finalize the deal
