If we live in the unincorporated area of Riverside County, the government is responsible for land use, public safety, health, and welfare which is controlled by the Board of Supervisors. Also, they control the day to activities of the people living there. The Board of Supervisors meets in the County Administration Building in the city of Riverside which is 187 miles away.
