In 2013, pressure cooker bombs had been placed near the finishing lines of the Boston marathon. The Boston Marathon was taking place on 15th April, 2013 and thousands of people had gathered there on this occasion. There were 23 thousand participants (History.com Editors, 2019).The two of the bombs exploded 12 seconds apart (CNN Editorial Research, 2020) and three people were killed because of the explosions, and at the same time, as there were thousands of people present there, and more than two hundred people were injured (“Boston Marathon Bombings Summary”, 2014). The attack took a huge toll on the national security of the United States and at the same time, the suspicion of international involvement in this terrorism even could not be totally dismissed.
