Q he first ten amendments to the U.S. Constitution are known as the Bill of Rights. It was the addition of the Bill of Rights that allowed passage of the U.S. Constitution and those ennumerated rights are seen as some of the most important parts of the Constitution. The Bill of Rights were added on a year after the Consitution was written. However, adding an amendment to the Consititution is very hard to do, intentionally so. Why? In the entire history of the U.S. (230 years) only 27 amendments, including the Bill of Rights, been added to the Consitution.
