I agree with the concept of amateurism because I feel that every individual has the right to choose his or her profession and type of earning for the chosen sports activity to be played by the individual. Though the sports organization or association might benefit more from amateurism, the sports player might also gain experience and apply later as a professional sportsperson in future (Garthwaite et al., 2020). Even if the sports player does not try to become a professional sportsperson in future, the sports player can be a great asset for the concerned sports organization or association. In case of college athletics, the appropriate model would be to ensure that there is some money given to every sports player irrespective
