Online Concert Report 4

Q Watch this concert. This is a performance of Beethoven's 9th and final symphony, of which he wrote when he was entirely deaf. Please write for me at minimum a two page paper explaining the concert in detail, using some of the terms you've learned so far. Compare the 4 concertos; are they similar or are they unrelated? Do you enjoy how the performers have updated the music, or do you feel that it ruins one of the most well known pieces in the repertoire? Speak about the instruments featured, the use of RMHT, and all of the concepts we've learned. These pages MUST be the following or you will receive a failing grade: 1. Times New Roman font 2. 12pt. font 3. Margins no larger than 1 inch 4. Double spaced lines. 5. Only your name at the top of the paper; no other heading. In addition, you are NOT allowed to using the verb ‘is’, or any variation of it. Meaning you can NOT use the following “is, are, was, were, has, have, had”. Each time you use one of these, you will be dropped one letter grade off of your final grade. (I’m very serious about this)

The symphony incorporated several unique features: chorus and vocal movements in the final move and extra-ordinary length. Beethoven wrote this piece despite being completely deaf, and it fast became one of his best pieces. The Beethoven- Symphony No 9 (Proms 2012) performed by the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, conducted by Daniel Barenboim and chorused by the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, proves to be one of the vastest repertoires of classical music and Beethoven’s most celebrated works.
